Control is an illusion.
Reflecting on control gave us a grasp of daily lives and deeper truths. When we feel like we lost control, maybe we are living our true selves. We wanted to understand those true selves, we wanted to see them.
Sexuality, anxiety, isolation, frustration, family, creativity, addiction, religion, friendship, power, death, self, social media, career, fear.
Those are the 18 stories that have been explored by asking people “ How does this topic control you, how does it control your life? “
We wanted to portray bare truths, we wanted to see who we are when we are vulnerable and open. We wanted to create more meaningful connections between people based on shared experiences. That is why we took these photographs. That is why we created 18 stories about control.
